Stay off of the Roof!

This is how we spent our
Christmas~New Year's
Holiday Vacation
The Daddy fell off of our roof on Dec. 26th
Which was also Jesse's 15th birthday.
He was cleaning out the wood stove
chimney pipe and slipped.
He fell from about one and a half
stories high. He landed on his feet
and rolled forward.
both of his calcaneous (heel) bones
were smashed along with the little
joint that is just above it.
I called 911 and they took him away
in the ambulance.
We spent the next 3 days at the hospital.

We became regulars at the cafeteria.
His feet were so swollen they could not
do surgery that week.
We brought him home for 2 weeks
and then he was back in the hospital
for 4 more days to have
his feet rebuilt with permanent
plates and screws.
They took bone grafts from
both of his tibias.
It is a VERY painful process.
He can not put any pressure/weight
on his feet for three months.

We have had him home for 3 days now.
He really wanted a bath.
Good thing I have a nice
BIG tub!!
I got to pull the pain block
catheter wire/tubes out of the the
backs of his knees while he was soaking.
He didn't yell when I did that,
but he did yell when I ripped
all the tape off that was holding them down.
He almost passed out on me
twice after we got him
out of the tub.
I told him he had the
water too hot.
Nothing like having a big
naked guy in a wheel chair with
his eyes rolling back in his head!

He is now all safe and snug.
He has fresh ice packs on his feet and
his computer to keep him
busy.

I caught the cold my kids
had all week.
Lucky offers comfort when ever
I have a few spare minutes!
**
I have done some blog visiting when
I could, but have not had time to leave
many comments.
I will try to get back to commenting
as soon as I can.
Daddy (Travis) said he would
give me a trip to Hawaii
if we didn't kill each
other in the next 3 months.
I bought a new bikini top at
Target yesterday...
Aloha!!
Blessings~LillySue

Holy Cow! It all sounds just awful for the poor guy LS! I'm so sorry. But it sounds like you have a great sense of humor about it, which no doubt will get you through the next 3 months! Can't imagine not being able to put weight on your feet for that long though, poor guy.

How terrible! For all of you!

I was wondering why you hadn't been around for a while, then I got your message on my blog, and I just now had a chance to check in on you. Glad you're back.

I hope your husband heals well, without any complications, and I hope you DO get your much-deserved trip to Hawaii (in your itsy-bitsy-teeny-weeny yellow polka dot bikini).

p.s. Kudos to your husband for letting you post naked pics of him in the tub haha. (or does he even know...?)

Tell you husband he looks a whole lot better then Alec Baldwin in his latest movie. Gosh how did he get in and out of that tub? I think you deserve a trip to Hawaii already. I will keep everyone in my prayers for a quick recovery and next time call someone to go up on the roof please:)

Oh My Gosh Lily Sue...
Aloha sweetie. Keep telling yourself it will be so worth it in the end. Don't kill him until you get your trip. Keep saying aloha, it will get you through it.

Bless your heart, try eating some soup, and taking care of yourself too. You can't get down, as it looks like you are the only caregiver at the moment.

Thank goodness for the love pats from kitty. I will be praying for the recovery of DH and you to feel better.

Country hugs sweetie...Sherry

Good day, sun shines!
There have were times of troubles when I didn't know about opportunities of getting high yields on investments. I was a dump and downright pessimistic person.
I have never imagined that there weren't any need in big starting capital.
Nowadays, I feel good, I begin to get real money.
It gets down to select a correct partner who uses your money in a right way - that is incorporate it in real business, and shares the profit with me.

You may get interested, if there are such firms? I'm obliged to tell the truth, YES, there are. Please be informed of one of them:

Oh my goodness! I'll say a prayer for you! Yes, Hawaii is a GREAT idea! Oh, I KNOW the sweet Provider will keep you and your husband in His great care and whisper secrets of stillness in your husband's ear. Broken bones REALLY hurt! I fell in my neighbor's driveway (NOT good with roller blades!) and then whacked myself against the slide wall at the water park (broken collar bone!) and now I've been intact for almost a decade, but I still remember that pain!

I am glad his wounds will heal. I am also happy to know it wasn't worse. I will keep you guys in my prayers for a quick healing and some time together is as good as can be. Keep yourself strong...

I am so sorry for your troubles and I hope Travis mends quickly. I've been through similar situations but with my knees, so I can empathize. Please tell Travis to keep his spirits up, but don't push the healing....it's critical that he do exactly as the doctors say. I've had over 14 surgeries and I know what I'm talking about. While he's down is a great time for him to explore things he's wanted to do academicaly (maybe) or catch up on books he's never had the time to read. God Bless, and I'll send prayers your way for all of you to have better day's ahead.

Hugs,
Meri

When i have been scouting around at this www page and have found it to be seriously beneficial. I would greatly appreciate all help.

Not too long ago, Louisville has come forth as a major center for the health care and professional medical sciences sectors. Louisville has been central to breakthroughs in heart and hand surgery treatment as well as cancer therapy. A number of of the earliest unnatural heart transplants were conducted in Louisville. Louisville's blooming downtown medical research campus involves the brand new $88 thousand rehab heart, and a well being sciences analysis and commercialization park that, in conjunction with the University of Louisville, has lured nearly 70 prime researchers and research workers. Louisville is also home to Humana, just one of the nation's most significant health insurance cover companies.

Louisville is residence to numerous major firms and agencies.
